
Single Stage Double-Suction Split Pump

For conveying water and physical and chemical properties similar to water, the medium temperature is 80 degrees C. If the end bearing is connected with cooling water and the medium temperature is up to 130 degrees C, the material of impeller, seal, and shaft seal can be changed, and the muddy water containing sediment can be swabbed.
Features
1. The axially split design allows easy removal of the top casing and access to the pump components (bearings, wear rings, impeller, and shaft seal) without disturbing the motor or pipe work.
2. The independent bearing housing allows for ease of maintenance without removing the top casing. The double volute design reduces the radial load on the shaft, extending component life, minimizing vibration and providing quiet operation.
3. The pump also offers high efficiency throughout the range. High energy efficiency along with long pump working life and easy maintenance add up to low life-cycle costs.
4. The split case pump is available with a liquid cooled sleeve bearing which promotes longer life and reduces maintenance.

Installation of Pump
1. Check whether the pump and the motor are in good condition before installation.
2. Make sure that the value of NPSHa must be greater than NPSHr that have been given in the sample.
Its foundation dimensions should be in conforming with those of installation of the pump unit.
3. The steps of installation
1) The pump set without common base
a. Place the pump on the concrete foundation where some foot bolt holes are prebuilt, correct the
levelness by means of adjusting the wedge-shaped cushion and properly tighten the bolts to prevent them from displacement.
b. Grout concrete between the basis and the pump foot.
c. After the concrete gets solidified, tighten the foot bolts and re-check the pump’levelness.
d. Correct the concentricity between the axles of both pump and motor to have them in a straight line. The allowed tolerance of the non-concentricity of the outer circles of two couplings is 0.1mm and the one of the non-uniform end-face intervals along with the circumference is 0.3mm (another correction of which after both water inlet and outlet pipelines are connected and a trial movement, the above requirement should also be met with.)
e. After check the rotary direction of the motor is in keep with that of the pump, you can install the connecting parallel pin of the coupling.
2) The pump set with common base

b. Grout concrete between the basis and the pump foot.
c. After the concrete gets solidified, tighten the foot bolts and re-check the pump' levelness.
3) The combined surface between the pump and the pipeline should be kept good air tightness, especially no leakage of air occurs from the inlet pipeline, and without the possibility for air to be nested on the unit.
4) If the pump is installed above the suction water level. It should be equipped with foot valve for pouring water and driving. It also can suck water by a vacuum pump.
5) In general, gate valve and check valve are required to be mounted between the pump and water outlet pipeline, check valve mounted after the gate valve.
